About the FMIA

From a forum that informs to a forum that transforms

The Mediterranean Forum on Artificial Intelligence (FMIA), launched in Marseille in 2024 and consolidated in Tunis in 2025, has established itself as a leading Euro-Mediterranean platform.

Its core mandate: to promote responsible, inclusive artificial intelligence that creates positive impact on both shores of the Mediterranean, in the service of the common good.

Ambition and strategic positioning

In an international landscape marked by a proliferation of AI initiatives, the FMIA 2026 aims to go beyond its role as a platform for exchange and become a catalyst for action and measurable impact across the Euro-Mediterranean region.

The Forum is committed to turning discussions into tangible results:

  • concrete operational projects
  • structuring partnerships between stakeholders from both shores
  • targeted funding opportunities
  • high-value strategic recommendations for public and private decision-makers

This approach helps shape a Euro-Mediterranean model of AI, while consolidating Marseille's position as a strategic hub for trans-Mediterranean cooperation.
