Ali El Amrani is a world-leading innovation strategist and technology leader with a career bridging Silicon Valley and Africa. He spent over a decade in the high-tech industry in the Silicon Valley, holding leadership positions in product R&D, design, and innovation strategy at Cisco, NVIDIA, and Hewlett-Packard, where he served as Head of Innovation. During this time, he contributed to the development and market introduction of several cutting-edge technologies and platforms that have shaped the global tech landscape.

Upon returning to Morocco, Ali founded iBTIQUAR Innovation Lab (ابتكار) — a premier innovation advisory firm dedicated to empowering organizations across Africa to unlock their innovation potential. Through iBTIQUAR, he advises governments, corporations, universities, and development organizations on building innovation capabilities, advancing technology transfer, and fostering entrepreneurship ecosystems.

Ali currently serves as President of the Innovation and Investment Committee and Board Director at Morocco’s National Agency for Digital Development (ADD). He also acts as an Innovation Systems and Technology Transfer Expert with the United Nations, advising on innovation policies and ecosystem development globally.

Ali pursued his engineering studies at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, Stanford University, and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT).
