Active in the startup and investment sectors across multiple regions, Soumaya is a founding partner at Rasmal Ventures, the first venture capital firm established in Qatar and anchored by Qatar Investment Authority.

The firm focuses on investments throughout the MENA region, with an opportunistic international allocation. Soumaya has previously held various investment roles in Silicon Valley, including positions at FI Ventures and Plug and Play Ventures, and has led operations at an SF-based startup. She holds an MBA in Investment from EDHEC Business School (France).
